Such a hidden gem in this neighborhood. Amazing food and very friendly people working! My go to order is a Mexican roll but I ask for spicy tuna instead of imitation krab. And a seaweed salad, with an order of gyoza. Hits everything 10/10 I love sushito!!
Came here based on Yelp reviews and was blown away. The service was great, super friendly and helpful. The food was so so good. Great basic rolls and they put great spins on rolls like the Cheeto Mexican roll. I had the Bento box- great value. A big portion of chicken or beef teriyaki, 4 piece roll, egg rolls and veggies. I wanted to try a few things and this was perfect. The teriyaki chicken has a lot of char and that's what I like. Simple dining room, quiet and nice to chill for an early quick dinner. Can't recommend it more. I'll be back again for sure!
Live love love BUT PARKING SUCKS!!! Parking is the ONLY reason why I don't order more often here! Other than that their food never disappoints!
I love ordering their platters and trays for family gatherings. Amazing food and service.
I found this place 2 weeks ago and I've been back about 6 times already. The Teriyaki Chicken bowls are the best you'll have in Boyle Heights and all of East LA. The chicken sandwich is fire and a great deal. They just added ramen to the menu and it rivals anything over the bridge in little Tokyo . They have teriyaki specials on Tuesdays and deals on sushi on Wednesdays. Sushito brings lighter healthy options to our community that has limited options.
They have a buy 2 get 1 free teriyaki bowl deal on tuesdays. I got 2 chicken and 1 beef and a California roll. The beef was my favorite! It's flavorful and soft. Not chewy. The workers were very nice and friendly as well.
A fantastic hole-in-the-wall, Asian-Mexican fusion joint. Was looking for something quick to eat during my lunch break and saw that this place had an almost 5 star rating, so I had to check it out. Guess what-- it checks out. :) I realized while reading the menu that I'd never had a fried sushi roll before so I wanted to try it out. I ordered the Mexican Roll and a side of gyoza and I was pretty scrumptious. The gyoza was perfectly crunchy and flavorful, and the Mexican roll was surprisingly tasty with a good texture. It came with a spicy mayo sauce and sautéed onions which was a nice touch. Service was fast, great, and polite. The only issue was finding parking in the area since it's on a busy street, but I found a spot after a couple trips around the block. I'll be back to try some other items in the future.
Fantastic food! They only have a few tables inside and a counter with some stools to dine in. The owner is super friendly and all of their food is so good. Here is what we've had and rate everything 5/5: Chicken teriyaki bowl Rainbow roll Dragon roll Smoked tuna tacos Tuna sashimi with a slice of fresh jalapeño Jasmine Tea We may order for carry out next time just because the seats are limited, but def coming back! The owner shared with us that he has a lunch truck on Norfolk, west of Soto, near USC, Mondays- Fridays, 10am-2pm. Look forward to visiting soon to pick up lunch!
Affordable hidden spot. Food 10/10 Price9/10 Quickness 10/10 Come here on my break. Coworker was inside ordering and I was really hungry that day so I decided to order something while he was waiting. I was very surprised that both orders were ready in about 12 min. We took it to go. Are in my car and I was satisfied. Didn't even finish the whole bowl. Thank you to the people who worked on our orders that day
Cheapest $8 teriyaki bowls, and $6 California Rolls around. Great place for quickie/to-go, to get my CA roll guilty pleasure/craving fix. The bowls are kinda like a flame broilers. Tuesday and Wednesday specials of buy 2 get one free (bowls to sushi) are great!! Takes credit card. English and Spanish understood. Parking: Street paid meter. Individual to 2 seater tables indoor and outdoor. Space is small, and feels like a NY joint. For it's prices, this place is amazing!! Anyone expecting anymore probably doesn't know how to read prices? This is a guilty pleasure, everyday worker food. If you want a higher grade quality, then pay for it... somewhere else. $5.99 CA Roll $10.99 Dragon Roll $8.99 Chicken Teriyaki Bowl $8.99 Fish bowl (fried fish/fish filet or fish sticks style) $9.50 Beef bowl Specials: - Tuesday: Buy 2 teriyaki bowls/plates, get 1 free. Each (quickie) bowl is around $7.60, large is around $8.99. - Wednesday: Buy 2 Sushi, get 1 free. ($5.99 CA roll is always a steal here!!) Teriyaki orders come with sauce on top, and extra sauce containers to go. There was a decent amount of meat in our bowl, and definitely jam packed with rice. Everything is okay. We weren't expecting much....if anything, we were just trying to find a local cheap CA sushi place that we wouldn't have to question it's quality. The rolls were soft but not mushy. And nowhere as hard and gross as grocery sushi. It's not high end sushi rice but it does the job for anyone with similar guilty pleasure. On a Monday 730pm (close at 8pm), a good amount of people coming through to order to go. For the price, this place is awesome!! For under $40 2ppl, we got everything we wanted, and enough for dinner and next day lunch. Looking forward to trying next time: Spicy Tuna Roll $6.99 Smoke Tacos $12 And adding (extra $) vegetables and avocado to our teriyaki orders next time.
